Annotation translation: [Text on the rear of the card]: "Missionary doctors, as well as ordinary missionaries, work among non-christians, for example among the cannibal Papuas of Kaiser-Wilhelm-Land. These superstitious heathens thought at first the missionaries were spirtis, and murdered two of them. But the tireless patience of these white men, and especially the love they showed in looking after these savages when they were sick, binding their wounds and giving them "good water", as they call medicines, and especially the way they looked after them when a smallpox epidemic was raging, gradually called forth a spirit of love and trust to the strangers in their hearts. And then, to their astonishment, the missionary doctor Frobenius put on...
